Grown on the Nyeri highlands, this Muthuaini AA comes from small farms belonging to the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society, an organization that unites several small producers in the region. The Muthuaini station is one of the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society's various production units. Each coffee farmer works a small plot and brings their cherries to the station after harvesting, where they are sorted and pulped before undergoing a careful washing process. Drying then takes place on raised African drying beds, with regular sorting to ensure a clean and consistent coffee. Our lot comprises the SL28 and SL34 varieties, emblematic of Kenyan coffees, supported by Batian and Ruiru 11. These beans are processed using the washed method to preserve the purity of the cherries.

In the cup, Muthuaini AA offers a very fruity and indulgent experience. The mango initially brings a tropical, ripe, and juicy character, before the pear adds a more delicate sweetness and a melting texture. Finally, the redcurrant awakens this sweetness with a crisp, fruity acidity. The exotic fruit adds depth, the pear brings sweetness, and the redcurrant extends the tasting experience. An expressive and balanced cup with the characteristic freshness of Kenyan coffees.
