De La Tierra is an El Placer initiative that offers premium prices to small local farmers for their cherries, which are processed at Hacienda Corcega's wet mill. Founded by Sebastián Ramírez, a 4th-generation coffee producer, the El Placer Farms Project began with his family farm and now includes small producers from Quindio and Huila. Their partner farms are El Placer, Andalucía, La Sofia, La Carito, and La Paz. The project spans five farms in the "Eje Cafetero," located in Quindio (Calarcá, Tebaida, Pueblo Tapado, Montenegro) and Huila (San Adolfo), at altitudes between 1200 and 2100 meters. The processing center, "El Placer Farms Hacienda Córcega Beneficio Center," is located in Quimbaya and features state-of-the-art equipment.
