This AB lot of SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 comes to us from the Kirura Factory in the Kiambaa division of Kiambu County in the Central highlands of Kenya. The factory, which is owned and operated by the Komothai FCS has been operating since 1970, and the producers that contribute their coffee to the factory grow coffee at altitudes between 1,800 and 1,900 masl. The region benefits from volcanic soils, and a climate that encourages slow cherry maturation. Kirura is well known for its high quality output, and their coffee regularly places in the top 10 of Kenya’s Taste of the Harvest cup competitions.
