SPECIAL GUESTS - Lamastus Elida GW Aguacate | Panama - Washed - Geisha

This coffee is a first for us. When we were cupping with Wilford Lamastus on his farm in Panama when, as is normal, we took a short break to do a tour of the farm - driving up the rocky terrain, looking at the fresh blossom and the bright red cherries ready for picking. We stopped next to the Aguacate plot where his team put a sack of freshly picked coffee in to the back of the vehicle. When we reached the processing facility he asked one of our group how they'd like it processed. Their answer "lavado" - washed.

On the spot, we secured 10 kilograms of this remarkable coffee. It was an opportunity too special to pass up - witnessing the entire journey from tree to cup, guided by one of the world’s most awarded producers and from one of our favourite plots.

As expected, the coffee is delicious. In the cup we find flavour notes of melon, pineapple and jasmine.
