Our popular Gotiti is back again this year!

<Gotiti>

The Gedeo Zone, located on the eastern side of the Yirgacheffe region, is divided into six districts. One of them is Gedeb, home to Gotiti.

Gedeb is located about 434 km from Addis Ababa. Until a few years ago, it took nearly 8 hours to reach by car, but since the opening of the Ethio–Kenya highway in 2016, travel time has been reduced to around 3 hours.

Coffee is grown on nearly one quarter of the land here, making it one of the most suitable coffee-producing areas in Ethiopia.

Gotiti is one of 16 administrative areas within the Gedeb district.

The Gotiti Washing Station has been owned and operated since the 2019 crop by Ranger, a subsidiary of BNT. With the goal of producing exceptional Yirgacheffe coffees, the station employs skilled staff with fair wages and focuses on careful processing from fermentation to drying.

During drying, great emphasis is placed on slow drying and thorough defect removal on African beds, resulting in clean and expressive coffees.

<Flavor Profile & Roasting>

This year’s Gotiti shows even more citrus and floral notes than last year, with a clean acidity and pleasant sweetness that lingers into the finish.

Roasted light, with a shorter overall roast time to highlight bright citrus flavors. By extending the time to first crack slightly, we’ve brought out stone fruit notes like white peach, along with a pineapple-like acidity.

When ground, the coffee releases an elegant Ethiopian floral aroma that fills the room. As it cools, notes of brown sugar-like sweetness emerge, allowing you to enjoy its complexity from hot to cool.

For a different experience, try brewing it slightly stronger and adding hot milk for a bright, gently sweet café au lait!
