This coffee comes from Rosa Bertha Izaguirre and her farm, El Plan del Aguacate, nestled high in the mountains of Santa Barbara, Honduras. Rosa has been immersed in farm life since childhood, helping her father tend to crops and coffee trees. It’s safe to say that coffee is in her roots.

In 2013, Rosa’s son gifted her a plot of land—and with the help of her husband and children, she planted her first coffee trees as a producer in her own right. What started as a conventional farm has now evolved into something truly special. As the family learned more about specialty coffee, they began to refine their practices and pursue quality in every step.

Today, Rosa and her family are all-in on specialty coffee. With some of the highest-elevation land in the area and a deep love for the work, they’re producing coffees that are as inspiring as their story. We’re thrilled to share Rosa’s coffee with you for the first time this year.
