The Murue Farmer Cooperative Society owns the Kianyangi factory, which processes ripe cherries from 950 smallholder farmers in the Embu region. The coffee cherries undergo a double-density grading process before fermentation and prior to being washed and soaked using clean water from the Gatomboya stream. The region’s rich volcanic soil and optimal growing conditions contribute to the coffee’s distinct high-quality acidity and intense sweetness.
