A fun twist on a classic Brazilian from Adriano Muñiz! This anaerobic arara from Cabo Verde is round, sweet with a touch of winey feeling. Tasting notes of dark dark berry cordial, caramel and cacao nibs.

Agropecuária Muñiz has been owned and managed by the Muñiz family since 1965. Adriano's father was the first in the family to grow coffee. When Adriano took over, he set out to raise the quality of what they were producing. The family invested in infrastructure and processing, and became one of the early specialty producers in the area around Cabo Verde. Adriano keeps a dedicated plot for experimenting with new varieties, planting around 20 trees of each. After harvest and cupping, they learn which varieties suit the farm's microclimate. That informs how they replant going forward. The same plot doubles as a testing ground for post-harvest methods. Smaller batches let them assess results before scaling a process up. In 2022, Adriano placed fourth in the Especialíssimo Award, run by Cooxupé and SMC to identify standout lots from within the cooperative's network.
