A beautiful field blend made from castillo & caturra from Teodolfo Lopez in Colombia that is very balanced with tasting notes of plum jam, hazelnut and maple syrup, perfect for espresso.
Teodolfo López is a producer native from the Cauca region in Colombia. He learned all about farm work at a very young age, because his parents were engaged in agriculture. In 1998, beause of the violence occuring in the region, he decided to move to Huila with his wife. Little by little, the first harvests began at the Los Naranjos farm, located at 1800 MASL in the municipality of Salado Blanco. Teo grows two varietals, Castillo and Caturra. Processing at Los Naranjos has continued to develop, still favourign longer fermentation times and more exotic cup profiles. This year Teo has moved to anaerobic fermentation only, omitting the oxidation step as he feels this results in a vibrant, expressive and cleaner cup.
