This coffee is processed at the Zelelam Coffee Washing Station, owned by Tracon Trading, where cherries are brought directly by small-scale farmers from the surrounding areas.
Located in the Guji area of the Oromia region, the name "Guji" is derived from the Oromo people who reside in this area. In this region, coffee trees are planted among shade trees such as African Cordia, Acacia, and Ensete, thriving in the red-brown soil.
The Zelelam Coffee Washing Station is currently equipped with 10 fermentation tanks and 215 African beds. Water used in the processing is carefully managed, with pH levels and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) regularly measured to ensure the best possible quality of the coffee.
