From KAWA
Delicate aromas of green tea mingle with lively notes of lemon and mandarin, enhanced by the warm sweetness of honey. This subtle harmony offers a refined cup, both bright and comforting.
The Janson farm was founded in 1941 by Carl Axel Janson, an immigrant from Sweden. Carl’s sons, Michael, Ricardo and Peter, founded Janson Coffee in 1989. The two coffee plantations are located in the Talamanca mountain range on the slopes of the Tisingal and Barù volcanoes.
In their plantations, the family aims to have a quality production that respects the environment. They do not use pesticides or herbicides by putting enzymatic micro-organisms in the soil. The plantations are managed in batches in order to have better traceability and quality control. The plantations are surrounded by forest to act as natural barriers against diseases and to protect the fauna and flora.
