The Milán de Julio Madrid farm is located in the municipality of Pereira, in the Risaralda region of Colombia. It lies close to Los Nevados National Nature Park, a 58,300-hectare reserve surrounding the northern volcanic complex formed by the Nevado del Ruiz volcano.

Finca Milán is situated at an altitude of 1,600 metres, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 28°C all year round, providing optimum climatic conditions for the many varieties grown: Castillo, Colombia, Caturra, Catiope, Bourbon rose and Bourbon rouge. This is also Café Fino's second largest farm, after Buenos Aires (1500m altitude) and La Riviera (1700m altitude).

Julio Madrid is a third-generation coffee grower in his family, and is committed to the cultivation of quality coffees. This dedication has led him to focus on the production of coffee varieties that are relatively rare in Colombia and known for their aromatic complexity.

Julio's daughter, Maria Antonia Madrid, is a biologist who has studied the organoleptic impact of using micro-bacteria to initiate post-harvest coffee fermentation, helping her father to improve his techniques.
