Eugene Altieri
Altieri is a family farm located in Boquete in the Chiriqui region of Panama. The farm produces 4 varieties: Geisha, Typica, Catuaí and Caturra in washed and natural process and in prolonged fermentation.
It was founded by Eugene Altieri, after fifteen years of coffee cultivation and several awards, his children follow his legacy by developing the Altieri Specialty Coffee farm.
The coffees are grown on a slope of the Baru volcano between 1,600m and 2,200 meters above sea level, in an area known as Callejón Seco.
The terroir benefits from a microclimate thanks to the winds from the Pacific and Atlantic oceans that collide. The soil is volcanic and drained by the mountain slope.
